Choose an inverter that is correctly sized for your panels, household usage and any future battery, rather than simply selecting the cheapest option. Check its efficiency, warranty, monitoring features and compatibility with your preferred battery, and ask a Clean Energy Council-accredited installer about the best location, ventilation and protection from weather. Review the monitoring app regularly for unusual drops in performance, warning messages or fault codes, but do not open or repair the inverter yourself. If a problem appears, contact your installer or the manufacturer and follow their advice from the product manual.
